This is the true story of Menie and Monnie and their two little dogs, Nip and Tup. Menie and Monnie are twins, and they live far away in the North, near the very edge. They are five years old. Menie is the boy, and Monnie is the girl. But you cannot tell which is Menie and which is Monnie,—not even if you look ever so hard at their pictures! That is because they dress alike. Great story to teach what life was like for Eskimos back in the day.
This book was recommended to me because I love the book "The Education of Little Tree "
This book is fun to read and easy to pick up if you have just a couple minutes because each chapter is a story. I learned a lot about how Eskimo people lived!
Cute story of an Eskimo family. We learned a lot about Eskimo life and what it might be like to be an Eskimo. The original illustrations are adorable, and it's well worth finding a book with the pictures.
This is a reprint of a very old children's book which has gorgeous drawings. However this version has NO drawings and the print is tiny. Find one of the other published versions, because it's a delightful book. All the twins books give an insight into what the world was like 100 years ago (when they were written!)
