I finally had the time to read the book today and I sat down and read it in 8 hours. I laughed, I cried, my jaw dropped at some of the points. Holley, I just hope you know how much YOU are going to make a difference.I pray that there will be girls and boys who read this book and say "wow, she says that if I tell, I will feel better. If Harper and Lucas did over come it, I will too" and will look up to you and the writings of this book. It spoke on so many topics that otherwise could be considered taboo, or wrong but most importantly, it gave a voice to so many who went through such an incredible tragedy and trauma. This book assures them that they are not "weird" but simply amazing.
This is an incredible book for parents to read for themselves and even better to read with their children. It opens up conversations and promotes a feeling of openness when talking about such a horrible subject such as sexual abuse or rape. Teach your kids to speak out whenever something or someone is bothering them; not bottle it all up inside.
Congratulations on your first novel, Holley, and I hope that this will be the first of many.

I'm not very good at writing reviews but for anyone struggling with an addiction or secret, this book is a great read. Each situation becomes a strengthening moment and all the characters seem like someone you know. easy to read and I got hooked after ten minuites. love this book. Thanks Holley.
